Truescale Ultramarine Veterans

I started these nearly a year ago with the single Sergeant Verenus, wich i had so much fun with, leading to buliing first a eight-man killteam and with the release of the Dark Imperium box to three five man squads of hardcore ultramarine first company madness. Finally finished and making an old tinkerer very happy: Squad Verenus Squad Pullo & Squad Calma As you can see, they where build from a multitude of kits, Tartaros, Assault, Primaris, DUST-Tactics Axis Heavy Grenadiers torsos, Forgeworld bitz and many more.

I love your true scale marines and would love to build some of my own. Do you have any advice for someone just starting?

Sorry for taling so long replying...

Nowadays it is quite easy to truescale thanks to the primaris kit. All you got to do there is decide if you like the changes to the regular marines armour. If not like me, you can easily trim the kneepads and cut of some of the rounded elements on the backpack or feet. Exchange the head with older versions and that´s it basically.

I still feel though, that the upper legs need to be fatter so i bulk them up with greenstuff or some other putty. That i really not difficult with the Primaris multipart-kit, as the legs come seperate and the area is easily accesible.
I really like the older armour variants stomach part wich are basically just cables so i tend to trim off the lower belly of the primaris´ bodies and put some cables there...

Hope that helps.
